An Overview Of Our Ministries
In Mark 10:13-16, we see the disciples turning away the children because they thought Jesus was busy with more important things. The Bible says, Jesus was 'much displeased' and His response was, "suffer the little children to come unto me." We in CEF of MA, have a passion to work with the local churches to bring little people to Jesus.
A Parable of the Farmer
A farmer had limited time, man-power, and finances to invest in his fields. He was aware that in one field there was very fertile soil with a guaranteed yield of 84%. The other field had poor, hard soil and the best possible yield would only be 16%. The majority of his resources was spent on the poor field, breaking up the soil, adding fertilizer, and irrigating, only to yield the expected 16%. For some unknown reason, very little attention was given to the fertile field, very little seed planted and little care given, therefore, when it came time for the harvest, he reaped very sparingly. Was he a wise steward?
We believe that children are the world's most fruitful field, as they are the ones responding to the Gospel. Statistics show that 84% of all who come to Christ do so between the ages of 4-14. Yet, most of the limited time, people and resources, the churches, have available, is spent on those over 14, with minimal response. Are we wise stewards? Therefore, in order to have the greatest impact, all our ministries focus on these little people.
Matthew 18:14, "It is not the will of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones should perish."
